Dr. Ileana Alexandra Orlich is President’s Professor of Romanian studies and comparative literature and Director of the Central European Cultural Collaborative at the School of International Letters and Cultures. A distinguished global futures scholar in the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory, Orlich is affiliate faculty at the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership, and the The Melikian Center for Russian, Eurasian and East European Studies, Barrett, the Honors College, and Director of the Global Intensive Experience to Romania (2023). She is the ASU Professor of the Year (2011) and Centennial Professor (2001). Since 2010, she serves as Honorary General Consul of Romania in Arizona.

Madalina Meirosu
Assistant Professor, Romanian Studies
Dr. Madalina Meirosu is Assistant Professor of Romanian in the School of International Letters and Cultures at Arizona State University. She is the Associate Director of the Central European Cultural Collaborative at the School of International Letters and Cultures, affiliate faculty at The Melikian Center for Russian, Eurasian and East European Studies, Barrett, the Honors College, Director of the Global Intensive Experience to Romania (2024) and Director of the Summer Global Education course Searching for Dracula: Myth, Monster or National hero (2024). She is also the Romanian Language Coordinator.

Ana Badulescu is a Bachelor’s student studying Computer Information Systems and Business Law with minors in Romanian and French with a Certificate in European Studies. She is the Assistant at the Central European Cultural Collaborative who manages, updates, and designs the CECC website as well as the coordinator of CECC's social media presence.
